Anahata, the heart chakra. Each of these chakra images are rich in symbolism with animals, elements, sanskrit seed syllables, and sacred geometric arrangements. The element for this centre is air, so I have made it a prominent feature of the composite.
The clouds, feathers (shot with kind permission of the Australian Museum), bird (a black kite gliding over my hotel roof in Delhi) and Hawa Mahal (Jaipur's Palace of the Winds) all give the image an airy feel, while the Jaswant Thada Mausoleum in Jodhpur anchors the bottom of the frame.
Inside the inverted yellow triangle (the seat of the soul) are the crescent moon, the antelope and an essential Shiva lingam, all also pointing to the symbolic power of this pivotal centre.
We print on heavy grade archival 100% cotton rag fine art paper and prints are sent unframed in a cardboard tube.
