I arrived early at the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, (otherwise known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary) to try to shoot in the early morning light and before all the loud Indian tourists scared all the wildlife away!
After hiring a rickety old bicycle I headed towards some of the more remote areas of the park with raised tracks like these above the surrounding swamps. Annually they become the temporary home of many rare and beautiful migrating water birds. However, with the fog too thick to even see the birds, I shot the park and became lost in a very prickly thicket for 2 hours without water following some deer and a native Indian wolf off the main track. I had to use a GPS to get out!
