The Chhatris, Orchha
The day I planned a dawn shoot for Orchha's 17th century cenotaphs, it was a very cold and misty winter morning.
Crossing the narrow road bridge over the Betwa River to the views on the other side, I shot various angles then climbed a fence to search for a more unique view further along the riverbank.
Eventually this symmetrical arrangement appeared, the mist rising from the river in the foreground creating a very atmospheric scene that took me back to the time of the Bundela Kings. I have added some ageing treatment to enhance that feeling.
